About Gydymo įstaigų paramos fondas
President of the Republic of Lithuania Valdas Adamkus, Old Town Rotary Club, Lithuanian companies and a group of well-known businessmen and public figures established a private fund for combating the coronavirus, Gydymo įstaigų paramos fondas, and encourage all people of goodwill to join it.
The biggest advantage of the private fund is the shortest possible way from assessment of needs to acquisition of goods or services, the required contacts and speed.
The biggest advantage of the private fund is the shortest possible way from assessment of needs to acquisition of goods or services, the required contacts and speed. Money donated to the Fund is and will be used for the most important needs aimed at the management of the COVID-19 virus crisis – to help all Lithuanian healthcare institutions, practitioners and other medical staff, and to acquire the required medical aids.
How to use the gathered funds will be decided by doctors recognised in their spheres who coordinate the management of the COVID-19 virus situation, and representatives of business and citizens.

“Any support to our medical personnel, for the improvement of their working conditions, for the quality of their work, deserves the most genuine respect and the utmost gratitude. Especially because the people who follow the Hippocratic Oath treat not only the sick – they treat our society too, against distrust, alienation and isolation. Therefore, everyone who supports the Healthcare Institutions Charity Fund also supports today’s and future Lithuania. Lithuania, where there are more not only physically but also emotionally healthy people, where there is more humanity, and where there is more Faith, Love and Hope. Thank you all who go along this path together!” says President Valdas Adamkus.
